Culture is
what defines us and as the Swahili saying goes, “Muacha Mila ni Mtumwa” which loosely
translates into;
‘Whoever deviates
from his/her culture practice or way of life to embrace a foreign culture
becomes a slave to a culture he/she is not familiar with’
The best
ranked Club in Kisumu County Club Da Place in Mamboleo appreciates
that fact
and this coming Saturday 6th of August it will host a cultural show
dubbed ‘The African Juice Experience’ with dress code strictly African Style.
Like i did indicate
two weeks ago during the ‘Take Over’ Party that was presided over by the new
King of decks DJ Joe Mfalme that his gig was just the beginning of elaborate
shows lined up as we head to the end of 2016.
Talking to
this blog, Chairman and CEO of the More Money Crew that owns Club Da Place
Kennedy Angwen revealed that everything is set for the big day with ample
parking space and tight security for the
“Am glad
that our club continues to attract some of the biggest partnerships not just in
Kisumu but across the entire Country” said Angwen.
He confirmed
that the African Juice will be hosted in collaboration with Radio Jambo and
Fingaworks DJ Peter Adamz backed by resident DJs Daggy and VJ Klutch.
Angwen said
that apart the usual goodies that the club offers during such shows like free
transport and wine/whisky for ladies and gents, this time you will have the
opportunity to be served with a plate of African dish for the first 50 couples.
“I
acknowledge the fact that Club Da Place has had very loyal patrons thus in the
next few weeks, I will be hosting a party for them just appreciate their
continued support” revealed Mr. Angwen.
